Fraudulent E-mail WarningGuinness & Co. is aware that there have been fraudulent e-mails in global circulation, claiming to be from or associated with The Arthur Guinness Fund. These e-mails tell recipients they are to receive awards from The Arthur Guinness Fund, and variously ask recipients to contact someone to claim their award, or request bank account or other personal details. Some of these e-mails have used the AGF's logo and strapline "The Arthur Guinness Fund – From One to Many", and quote the fact that the AGF was created as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations in 2009.
These emails are in no way associated with Guinness or The Arthur Guinness Fund and have not been sent by us. The AGF does not award unsolicited and random grants. In the same way as with all scam e-mails requesting personal or bank details, we advise consumers not to respond and to delete the mails immediately without opening them. We are working with the appropriate authorities to do everything we can to stop these emails circulating further.
For any enquiries about scam e-mails relating to the Arthur Guinness Fund please contact our Consumer Careline.
