Over recent years unemployment has tripled with long-term unemployment in particular more in number than the entire live register in 2007. The scale of unemployment in Ireland requires the optimisation of resources from all sectors in our society - state, voluntary and private.
Worklink mobilise and organise additional professional capacity to maximise the take up, effectiveness and impact of the various work activation programmes and initiatives. They are a not for profit organisation providing services free of charge. They recruit suitably qualified professional volunteers and equip them to support employers and jobseekers. Worklink volunteers help employers deal with the practical administrative, resourcing and information barriers that exist in designing and implementing effective work activation programmes.
