With the absence of a work-at-height safety system, Indonesia is second in the world for the number of workplace accidents. Harry Suliztiarto,
a professional rock climber, has pioneered a safety system for workers at height in Indonesia.
Skyger Safety is working with various external resource providers to provide workers with cheap, strong safety equipment; as well as offering training and advice on simplified working procedures to give workers a greater awareness of how to avoid accidents. By training workers sent from large companies, these messages are then
communicated back to others on sites around the country, and workplace safety can be dramatically improved.
Goals and objectives
The infrastructure for work-at-height safety which Harry has established is advancing rapidly and promises to set the new paradigm for the industry.
Harry’s current focus is to adapt his multi-pronged approach to address a particular safety system for palm tree sappers.
