The Irish mental health system has faced many challenges, including the stigma around mental health, the huge demand on its services and communities disconnected from existing support channels.
Business approach
Turn2Me is an innovative online interactive support community comprising 10,000 people who help each other in a peer-to-peer community. The website is completely anonymous and confidential, encouraging people to openly talk about their problems online and, most importantly, get help and support.
Goals and objectives
Oisin believes The Arthur Guinness Fund can help Turn2Me set new standards in the field of mental health, raising awareness and improving education. "I genuinely and passionately want to bring about change in the area of mental health, to provide an online support system to people all over Ireland, one that is free, one that is accessible and one that can save lives."
