Poverty alleviation through improving education. This will be achieved through the provision of computers for school children in both Ireland and overseas, as well as training for their teachers.
How is support from The Arthur Guinness Project helping?
In a challenging year financially, The Arthur Guinness Project provided a large portion of our fundraising income for 2011. This contribution subsidised the costs to Camara schools by 20% and has been hugely important to what we are doing, enabling us to target the poorer schools. Arthur Guinness Project support has also helped to professionalise the organisation, meaning we can offer better services to more schools. It has also supported the promotion of Camara, helping us to further extend our reach.
